The Necessity of Faith in Caregiving – A Father’s Perspective

As a parent and social worker, Deacon Ronnie San Nicolas will share about the need for faith in caring for his autistic son diagnosed with a medical condition that impacts 1 in 200 children and youth resulting in mental illness like symptoms. The presentation will also reflect on the three synoptic Gospel stories of Jesus’ encounter with a father and his son following the Transfiguration on Mount Tabor.  St. James Cathedral’s Mental Health Wellness Ministry and the Archdiocese of Seattle Mental Health Ministry are sponsoring Wellness Wednesdays, a monthly educational forum featuring professionals from various mental health disciplines speaking on topics of interest.
