Wellness Wednesday – Dementia & Spirituality: Hope on the Journey

NEW: In-person and Online

Archdiocese of Seattle Mental Health Ministry and St. James Cathedral’s Mental Health Wellness Ministry are sponsoring Wellness Wednesdays, a quarterly educational forum featuring professionals from various mental health disciplines speaking on topics of interest.

The October installment will be a special hybrid (in-person/online) event on Dementia and Spirituality. It will occur both on in-person at St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral and on Zoom. This event will be our fall kickoff for a revamped Quarterly Hybird Wellness Wednesday series, with segments to follow in winter, spring, and summer 2024.

Join us online or in-person at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral for a conversation on Dementia and Spirituality: Hope on the Journey.  The evening will include a presentation from Dr. Thomas Grabowski from the UW Memory and Brain Wellness Center followed by a panel conversation reflecting on dementia and ministry with Father James Eblen, Sister Judy Ryan and the Very Rev. Steven L. Thomason. Come learn more about what dementia is, its impact on people living with the disease and their caregivers, and ways to provide support along the journey. There is no cost to attend the event (if attending the optional 6pm community dinner, $6/child; $8/adult; $25/max. family).
