100 ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATION

Records that document or support assessment of students’ academic progress and development of academic courses and lesson plans. 

200 ADMINISTRATION, GENERAL

Records that document or support general day-to-day operations that do not fit into a more specific functional area in the records retention schedule. Includes administrative records common to most schools.

300 ASSET MANAGEMENT

Records that document or support managing the physical assets of a school (facilities, land, equipment, vehicles, and supplies). Includes asset acquisition, maintenance, inventories, sale, and disposal.

400 FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION

Records that document or support management of a school’s financial resources, obligations, and monetary infrastructure.

500 PERSONNEL ADMINISTRATION

Records that document or support the recruitment, selection, evaluation, and management of employees and volunteers.

600 LITURGICAL ADMINISTRATION

Records that document or support the coordination of sacred musical performances and liturgical celebrations.

700 PERFORMANCE & THEATRICS

Records that document or support the coordination of secular music and theatrical performances, including pageants, plays, and musicals.

800 INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

Records that document or support the management of a school information, including forms and publications, mail services, records administration, marketing, and public relations.

900 SPIRITUAL DIRECTION

Records that document or support the provision of spiritual guidance to students and families.

1000 STUDENT SERVICES

Records that document or support student discipline; physical, mental, and emotional health; enrollment; and athletic programs.

1100 TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT

Records that document or support the acquisition, development, implementation, testing, support, and monitoring of computer, networking, imaging, telecommunication, and other technologies.

1200 TRAINING

Records that document or support the development and administration of training programs such as conferences, seminars, certifications, workshops, etc. Does not include academic instruction.

1300 LEGAL

Records that document or support the management of civil legal matters, including litigation and legal advice. Includes internal and outside counsel.
