Archdiocesan Youth Council

Catholic youth who will enter their sophomore, junior, or senior year this fall.

In many ways, it functions like a senate. The Council of high school students seeks input from peers in their communities, parishes, and schools, and communicates the concerns and desires of Western Washington’s young people to Church leaders. Council members represent and advocate for their fellow young Catholics!

The Council has both regional and cultural representation. We have 10 deaneries in the Archdiocese of Seattle, and we will seek two representatives from each deanery. In addition, we are inviting active members of cultural Catholic communities living within our archdiocese to serve on the Council.

We want to hear all voices making up the youth of our archdiocese – it’s ok if you are not very engaged with the Church right now, but you should be a baptized Catholic with a solid understanding of the Catholic faith and a commitment to serving others.
