Journeying in Hope

Are you wondering if God may be calling you to religious life? Join us for a free intercongregational retreat for women ages 20-45 who are discerning a vocation to religious life during National Vocation Awareness Week.

This retreat offers a welcoming and prayerful opportunity to learn about religious life, deepen your relationship with God, and connect with women who are exploring a similar call. You will hear from local sisters representing the Benedictine Sisters of Lacey, the Sisters of Providence, the Franciscan Sisters, and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace.

Throughout the retreat, participants will enjoy Mass, presentations on the different forms of religious life, and introductions to a variety of prayer practices, including Lectio Divina, Centering Prayer, journaling, the Rosary, and prayer in nature. We will also spend time walking the labyrinth as a way of reflecting on God’s presence and guidance in our lives.

The retreat will be presented by vocation directors from the participating communities: Sr. Paz Vital, Sr. Chero Chuma, Sr. Marisol Avila, and Sr. Christine Still. Whether you are just beginning to explore religious life or have been discerning for some time, you are warmly invited to come and listen for God’s call.

Accommodations and meals will be provided for all participants at no cost.
