Engaging Volunteers – Empowering Disciples

We engage the head, the heart, and the hands of volunteers when we empower them for mission and help them grow as disciples. This workshop will explore the ways we can prepare our parish communities to engage and support volunteers of all ages for mission to serve the people of God and to spread the Good News in our neighborhoods and our world.

  • Identifying a variety of roles for volunteers
  • Creating role descriptions
  • Inviting people to serve
  • Preparing volunteers for dynamic ministry
  • Providing support and direction
  • Helping volunteers to grow as disciples

Practical tools, parish examples, and easy-to-use resources will be shared as we explore this important topic.

Presented by Tom East, Parish Family Liaison and Training Specialist
