De-escalation Training Through a Trauma-Informed Lens

All people concerned with learning how to support those in psychological crises are invited to this special training. Drawing from over 25 years of experience in professional behavioral
health and integrated care settings, Martin Reinsel, MA, LMHC will
lead this course teaching the fundamental principles of verbal de-escalation through a curriculum designed to identify several basic behavioral types and what manner of communication works best with each one. These de-escalation techniques are appropriate for engaging with God’s beloved who might appear on our parish campuses while experiencing mental illness or other difficulties.
