First Responder Ministry
The First Responder Ministry supports, trains, and networks with Catholic first responder chaplains. The ministry also offers spiritual support to our first responders on behalf of the local Catholic Church.
What we do
- Offers spiritual retreats and gatherings for Catholic first responder chaplains.
- Provides monthly peer support sessions for chaplains to debrief callouts and incidents.
- Connects police/fire chaplains with national pastoral care training programs and certification opportunities.
- Gives ecclesiastical endorsements for Catholic ministers seeking to serve as police/fire chaplains and connects them to interested agencies.
- Offers occasional Masses and gatherings for first responders and their families.
