The Archdiocese of Seattle receives and responds to close to 200 requests each year and recommends to the Archbishop the mission causes selected for participation annually in February. The Archdiocese uses a variety of criteria in selecting and assigning the mission causes to parishes. This means that, although we receive many requests, we can only invite 10-12 missionary groups to participate. Requests received after January 1st each year will be considered for the MCP for the following year.
