Train the New Facilitator is an extensive class for those who have never been a Safe Environment Program facilitator. Participants must complete a New Facilitator Application form and have it endorsed by their Pastor, Priest Administrator, Pastoral Coordinator or Principal. The online webinar New Facilitator training is offered through Virtus by a certified trainer. The webinars are offered periodically throughout the year, typically quarterly, and are conducted in English or Spanish. The webinars run for 5 days, 3-3 1/2 hours per day. Applicants must attend the entire training session to be considered for the Facilitator role. Anyone may apply.
Training webinar schedules are provided to parishes and schools periodically throughout the year when they become known.
Please contact the Safe Environment Program Coordinator if you have questions prior to submitting your application.
The signed application is due at least two weeks before the class. At that point registration will close.
