Theology of the Body Retreat for Young Adults
Join Brendan McCauley from the Humanum Project, for a weekend of diving into JPII’s teaching on the Theology of the Body.
Who am I? Why am I here? Why are we male and female? How can I be happy? Pope St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body sheds light on the greatest questions we have in life. In this retreat, Brendan will share with you about the heroic life of John Paul II, the basics of Theology of the Body and why he wrote it. This great teaching will give you clarity and hope in a world that is so confused about the meaning of the body. Brendan will share with you how this teaching has radically changed the course of his life and how it can change yours. He will unpack how the human body, as male and female, reveals the mystery of God, the mystery of who we are, and the mystery of God’s plan from all eternity! This “treasure map” that God has given us is imprinted in our bodies and when we “read” it correctly, it will lead us to the Ultimate Treasure of Heaven. During this talk, we will put on the “lenses” that will allow us to read this map in our bodies, leading us to see the body in a whole new light.
The retreat will begin with dinner on Friday, May 3 and end after lunch on Sunday, May 5.
