Join us for Mass to celebrate Martin Luther King Junior on Monday, January 19 at 11 am, at the St. Ignatius Chapel at Seattle University. Bishop Eusebio Elizondo will be presiding.

The keynote speaker is Sharon Spence-Wilcox. Sharon serves as the Reference and Instruction Librarian at Seattle Central College, where she teaches critical information literacy concepts and collaborates with faculty across Humanities, Basic & Transitional Studies, and Counseling programs. She also leads the development of instructional resources and supports faculty in integrating information systems and platforms, drawing on her experience as an end-user, curator, and architect.
Her work extends beyond the classroom to include participation in curriculum and pedagogy committees, student success initiatives, and efforts centered on transformative equity, care praxis, and worker solidarity. Sharon is an active member of St. Therese Parish in Seattle and holds an M.L.S. in Librarianship from the University of Washington and a B.A. in International Studies from Barry University.
