Laudato Si Movement WA – Earth Day Summit

Join us for the annual Laudato Si Movement Washington Chapter Summit (formerly CCN/Care for Creation Summit) on Saturday, April 26, 2025, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.  Our theme for this year is Pilgrims of Hope for Creation.  We are thrilled to announce that our guest speaker will be Dr. Robert Bullard, Father of Environmental Justice.

America is segregated and so is pollution. Race and class still matter and map closely with pollution, unequal protection, and vulnerability.  Today, zip code is still the most potent predicter of an individual’s health and well-being.  Reducing environmental, health, economic, and racial disparities is a major priority of the Environmental Justice Movement.

Our annual summit also includes prayer, presentations on local and global environmental issues (including a presentation from Eastside Catholic youth representatives), a “trash pilgrimage” to clean up around the SU campus and local neighborhood, reflection, and representatives from local organizations to answer any questions you might have!

Come to learn, pray, share, reflect, and answer the call to action!
