Holy Hour for Vocations
Join Fr. Justin Ryan, Director of Vocations for the Archdiocese of Seattle, and Sr. Chero Chuma, Director for Vocations in the USA for the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Peace, for dinner, an hour of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, and fellowship! All are welcomed to pray for vocations or to discern them, so invite someone you know who might be willing to discern a vocation one day to the priesthood or religious life.

Sister Chero Chuma is a member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Peace (CSJP) and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). She joined the congregation as the first African Sister in August 2006 while continuing her studies and pursuing a career in healthcare in Seattle. She professed perpetual vows in April 2012, has mainly served in the healthcare ministry, and continues to serve as a per diem psychiatric provider at the Crisis Center in Seattle. Appointed as the Director for Vocations in the USA, she promotes vocations and accompanies women called to discern vocation to religious life. Sister Chero is a University of Washington graduate with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and a WWAMI AHEC Scholar. She is also a Seattle University graduate with a dual bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Theology & Religious Studies. She uses her education and experiences to educate many on matters pertaining to faith and mental health.
