Feast of St. Mark
St. Mark is the author of the second Gospel, written between 60 to 70 AD. Most of the information about his life is handed down from tradition. He had a close relationship with St. Peter and St. Paul, with much of his Gospel based on the teachings of St. Peter. St. Mark’s symbol is the winged lion. He died a martyr.
