Concert in Celebration of All Souls Day

Concierto en celebración del Día de los Muertos

Celebrate All Soul’s Day at St. James Cathedral with the music of Orquesta Northwest followed by Mexican bread and hot cocoa in the Cathedral Courtyard.

All Soul’s Day is part of the three-day triduum dedicated to remembering the dead.
Oct. 31: Halloween (All hallows eve) is the vigil of All Hallows Day (All Saint’s Day).
Nov. 1: All Saints’ Day is a feast day observing the lives of the many saints for whom there is no specific feast day during the year.
Nov 2: All Souls’ Day marks a day of prayer for, and remembrance of, the “faithfully departed”. Also known as Día de los Muertos/Day of the Dead; a tradition rooted in Mexican cultural that honors the deceased and celebrates their lives with music, dance and food.

Honor those who have passed away by placing a photo of your deceased loved one on the St. James Catherall Chapel Altar de Muertos from Oct. 31-Nov.2

This concert is free of charge and open to all with a reservation.
