Archdiocese of Seattle 175th Anniversary Mass & Celebration – Vancouver

Join us for the Mass of Thanksgiving as part of the  2025 celebration of the 175th anniversary of the Archdiocese of Seattle

Saturday, January 25, 2025 | 11:00am
The Most Reverend Paul D. Etienne, Archbishop of Seattle, Celebrant
The Protocathedral of St. James the Greater, 218 West 12th St, Vancouver, Washington

For the Archdiocese of Seattle, the year 2025 is doubly blessed. It’s a Jubilee year for the Church
throughout the world; it’s also the 175th anniversary of our diocese, established on May 31, 1850.

Fittingly, our 175th celebration will begin with a Mass of Thanksgiving at the Protocathedral of St. James the Greater in Vancouver, where the history of our diocese began.

Mass will be followed by a festive reception in the parish hall. Tours of the historic church will follow. All are welcome. We have much to celebrate!

This is one of four special Masses to celebrate the 175th Anniversary:
January 25 at 11:00am | Protocathedral of St. James the Greater, Vancouver
February 22 at 11:00am | Star of the Sea, Bremerton
March 1 at 11:00am | Immaculate Conception, Mount Vernon
