Advent Readings & Carols

O come all ye faithful! Advent Readings & Carols features all of our Youth Music ensembles singing songs of Advent anticipation and Christmas joy! Youth readers offer traditional readings from Holy Scripture heralding Christ’s birth, alternating with Fratres Young Men’s Ensemble, Jubilate! Young Women’s Ensemble, Schola Cantorum, and Seraphim Choir filling the Cathedral with a joyous sound. The congregation joins in singing traditional carols in the soft glow of candlelight. The Very Reverend Gary F. Lazzeroni presides.

No tickets or reservations are required for this liturgy – all are welcome! A freewill offering to benefit the Youth Music Program will be collected.

The Cabrini Center Garage on Marion Street will be open for free Cathedral parking for this liturgy. To receive free parking, you must take a ticket from the machine when you enter the garage, and write “Cathedral” on it before you hand it to the attendant upon exiting the garage. Having your ticket ready before you exit will speed the process for everyone.
