Novena for Father Augustus Tolton’s Canonization

We invite you to join us as we pray a Novena for our universal Church through the heroic and virtuous life of Father Augustus Tolton and for his cause for canonization.

Father Augustus Tolton’s life revolved around faith, perseverance, and holiness.  He was born a slave in Brush Creek, Missouri and ordained a priest on April 24, 1886. He is America’s first recognizably Black Catholic priest and is one of six candidates of African descent who is up for canonization.

Join us by Zoom every day, or whenever you can, from March 23-31 at http://bit.ly/3RbpEkv.

Sponsored by the Archdiocese of Seattle’s Multicultural Ministry and the Black Catholic Advisory Circle.
