Missions
“The condition of the poor is a cry that, throughout human history, constantly challenges our lives, societies, political and economic systems, and, not least, the Church. On the wounded faces of the poor, we see the suffering of the innocent and, therefore, the suffering of Christ himself.”
~ Pope Leo XIV, Dilexi Te
Missions connects local Catholics to the needs of the Church throughout the world to build global solidarity.
What is Missions?
The Missions ministry supports and promotes the understanding of Catholic Social Teaching and how to live out our faith by being in community with people on the margins, whether they are in our own communities or around the world. The Missions team provides support and resources to parishes so their parishioners can engage in global solidarity.
How Missions supports parishes
Missions helps parishes to educate people about the needs of our brothers and sisters around the world, to create opportunities for global relationship building and to inspire action. Examples of opportunities for parishes:
