Catholic Lifesaver Corps
Catholic Lifesaver Corps (CLC) is a unique peer-to-peer suicide prevention program in the Archdiocese of Seattle. CLC consists of a team of high school students (16 & older) who are trained and certified as facilitators of the 4-hour safeTALK suicide prevention workshop. They, in turn, offer regular trainings in their respective schools and nearby parishes to educate fellow students on the signs of suicidal ideation and the necessary steps to keep their peers safe.

Catholic Schools are invited to apply for Cohort 4, which will consist of student and adult reps from 3 high schools in the archdiocese. The application is below.
Participating schools will be asked to select 4 students and up to 4 adults to join the cohort. (We would strongly encourage schools to include a diversity of genders, races, ethnicities, etc. in their selections. Adults could be school counselors, teachers, administrators, or parents.) Students will take the lead on facilitating the actual safeTALK workshops, while adults will take the lead on managing an actual intervention, should one surface during a workshop.
All cohort members will receive ample training. Here are the orientation and training details:
