SUMMARY:Introduction to Centering Prayer
DESCRIPTION:We invite young adults to explore the practice of Centering Prayer, a traditional form of Christian contemplative prayer that offers a simple way to open your heart to God’s presence and action in your life.\nRooted in the wisdom of Christian monastics and mystics, Centering Prayer draws from the rich contemplative tradition of the Church. In the 1970s, Trappist monks Fathers William Meninger, Basil Pennington, and Thomas Keating adapted these ancient practices into a simple method of silent prayer accessible to people today.\nWhether you are new to Centering Prayer or looking to renew and deepen an existing practice, this half-day workshop offers a welcoming introduction. Participants will learn the method, experience guided practice, and have opportunities to ask questions in a relaxed and supportive environment.\nFollowing the workshop, participants will be invited to continue their journey through a four-week series of one-hour evening sessions. These sessions will explore the practice more deeply and include a 20-minute Centering Prayer period, discussion, and time for questions and reflection.\nCost:\n$78.00 – Program\n$90.00 – Program & Lunch\nLearn More | Register \n
